Comet Buzzes Giants Head

Wide field shot of Comet C/2002 06 ( SWAN )
in the constellation of Orion the Hunter . The comet is the small blue green dot at 8 o'clock of the red star Betelgeuse , in the lower section of frame .
Taken at 19:30 8/Aug/2002 UT ( morning of the 9th Local Time ). 50mm lens , 5 min exposure , fuji 800 .

at 20:00 UT .
Note fast apparent movement of comet in this 8 min exposure ( forming a line almost ) , which was due to close proximity to Earth at this point in time . Swan forms a triangle with the stars Betelgeuse and Bellatrix .
